About

Welcome to SecureBinary, an IT Security Awareness Blog that promotes human-first cybersecurity. We believe strong security starts with people, not just tech. We all know that the best defense against internal or external breaches & or hacks, be it at home or at work is not technology alone. IT Security is only as strong as the weakest link; unfortunately human beings tend to be the low hanging fruit. SecureBinary‘s goal is fostering and reinforcing an IT Security conscious mindset. Fundamentally, I.T Security is about people! I.T Security Awareness is the culture…!

About Author

Trevor Murimba, better known in digital realms as TechnoTrev, is a Certified Ethical Hacker and Cybersecurity Expert by profession. He wears many hats; Founder & Agri-Cybersecurity Advisor at MyBitSecure, Founder & Publisher of SecureBinary, Director at Infinity Project Management, Registered Security Researcher with WordFence’s Bug Bounty Program and an active Writer on Medium, where he explores the crossroads of cybersecurity, psychology, and human behavior.

When he’s not hardening cloud infrastructure or reverse-engineering exploits, you’ll likely find him in his element. Whether it’s riffing on guitar, tending his garden, or scribbling Python to Lo-Fi beats, the garage lab is home.

Trevor is a multi-disciplinary soul with a wild heart for Music Theory, Psychology, Mechatronics, Game Development, AgriTech, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Quantum Computing. If it lives at the intersection of code, creativity, and curiosity, he’s all in!…

…Phew!, that being said, “Welcome to my blog; I.T Security Awareness starts with you!” Together we can foster & promote this movement!
